Another year comes to an end...

Looking back over the year, its been a relatively benign year for investment markets, with massive profits by Australia’s largest mining companies and big banks, underwriting a strong financial performance across the board.

Inflation and the prospect of higher interest rates in 2024 remain the biggest issues, although it would seem unlikely that Australia will fall into recession, while overseas earnings remain so high, and unemployment remains so low.

This month’s newsletter is slightly different to most with just two articles, one focusing on how you can take small steps to dramatically improve your financial position and the other looking ahead to investment trends in 2024.

The end of the financial year prompts many people to make big decisions regarding their finances and planning their retirement tends to be top of that list. Please don’t hesitate in contacting me if you would like some assistance or help.

Having said that, the office will effectively be closed from December 14 until January 22 next year.
