So Many Changes, Yet So Much Stays the Same

As the new financial year starts, this seems an opportune money to pause and just update everyone on the changes that have occurred within the business during the past 6 months.

Most clients and readers will learn everything they need to know from visiting out new website, HowardOsmond.com.au As you will see, the business has been re-branded reflecting the significant growth it has experienced in recent years and the fact it is no longer just me in the business.

It also highlights our new physical office in Kew which augments the office we share with Better Accounting Solutions in Rosebud. This was a natural post-Covid progressive for the business to move out of my study and back into the real world.

Importantly, one of my sons Charles has recently qualified and is now a provisional financial planner. He will be fully qualified this time next year although it will take some years for him to build the confidence and experience to look after clients himself.

In the meantime, he is fulfilling the role of Office Manager and so if you have a question, Charles is a could person to ask and is ably supported by Rose and Jazz, our client admin team who make our back office humm.

I am hopeful that we can soon employ another financial planner in the business and as this is a big step, we are understandably taking out time. In continuing to build the business, we hope to provide true intergenerational advice to our many existing clients and hopefully to many, many more.

As for myself, given I love what I do, I hope to remain full-time in the business for the next ten years and will continue to be here for those many clients I have worked closely now for many years.

However, in addition to this, I hope to spend more time writing and to support this I have rebuilt the PatriciaHoward.com.au website. As you will have read, I am about to publish my second book, The Bank of Mum and Dad. This follows my earlier book The No-Regrets Guide to Retirement, published in 2021.

Both books will now only be available for sale via my website.

This website will support my existing and future books and several other writing projects that I have on the horizon. So together I see a very exciting decade stretching before us where you can access reliable general advice for the price of a book, arrange to have a direct conversation with me or take the step in becoming a financial planning client.
